Community Garden

The Penacook Community Garden began with land donated by the Penacook Historical Society across from the Rolfe House.

Since that time, the Community Garden has not only yielded delicious fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as beautiful flowers, it has been a wonderful place for the community to get together, be active, make friends, and teach our youth where food comes from and the value of working the land with your hands.

With all that was happening this year we decided to take a break from the garden. The Community Garden is still being rented by the community for a very reasonable price of $25.00 for a 15 X 15 foot area. The price includes irrigation twice a day for the summer, just saying.

For this year, we have decided to plant pumpkins for our PCC families and pass them out in the Fall. And next year we will have funding in place to hire gardeners to tend to the garden as we have in the past. Stay tuned!
