The Penacook Community Center Inc. is a 501(c) 3 organization serving Penacook Village and surrounding areas founded with a mission of providing opportunities to promote, develop, and maintain social, educational, and recreational activities. Penacook Village, a village located within the City of Concord, New Hampshire.
The Penacook Community Garden began with land donated by the Penacook Historical Society across from the Rolfe House.
Since that time, the Community Garden has not only yielded delicious fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as beautiful flowers, it has been a wonderful place for the community to get together, be active, make friends, and teach our youth where food comes from and the value of working the land with your hands.
With all that was happening the past 2 years we have decided to take a break from growing produce in the garden. BUT The Community Garden is still being rented by the community for a very reasonable price of $30.00 for a 15 X 15 foot area. The price includes irrigation twice a day for the growing season, just saying.
Again this year, we will plant pumpkins for our PCC families and pass them out in the Fall. Our goal for next year is to have funding in place to hire gardeners to tend to the garden as we have in the past. Stay tuned!
